Booking and payment
How do I book an experience?
Send an enquiry through the Plan Your Trip form, message us on WhatsApp (+91 97894 24750) or call. We confirm availability, the final price and meeting details.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is 100% in advance to confirm a booking.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be submitted in advance. Cancelling 3 days before departure is eligible for a 10% refund of the package cost, and 1 day before for a 30% refund. Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure are not refunded. No refunds are given for unused services. If we cancel a tour, all monies paid are promptly refunded.
Why does the price change with group size?
Guides, storytellers and artisans are paid per session, so the per-person cost falls as more guests share it. For example, the heritage tour is ₹1,500 for a solo guest and ₹700 per person for 10–12 guests.
On the day
What time do tours start?
Most outdoor experiences start early (6–7 AM) or late afternoon (3–4.30 PM) to avoid the midday heat. Each package lists its start times.
Do you provide hotel pick-up?
For day excursions we arrange a taxi from your hotel, priced as a separate taxi supplement. For town experiences we share a meeting point near your stay.
What should I wear to temples?
Modest, clean clothing that covers shoulders and knees. Footwear is removed inside temples and ashrams.
Are activities safe for non-swimmers and children?
Kayaking and surfing are guided and open to non-swimmers, with life jackets provided. Kayaking takes children above 8 and the sound meditation children above 14. Craft workshops suit all ages.
About Pondicherry
When is the best time to visit Pondicherry?
December to February is the best time, with warm days, cooler evenings and little rain. March is still pleasant. The north-east monsoon brings most of the year’s rain from October to early December, and April to June is hot, so early-morning tours work best then.
How many days do I need in Pondicherry?
Two to three days covers the heritage town, a backwater or beach activity, a food experience and Auroville. Add a day for each excursion such as Mahabalipuram, Gingee or Pichavaram.
How far is Auroville from Pondicherry?
About 10–12 km north, roughly 20–30 minutes by car.
Is Pondicherry the same as Puducherry?
Yes. Puducherry has been the official name since 2006. Pondicherry and Pondy are still widely used.
