“Happened to take this amazing heritage cycle tour organized by Venkat Anna in the heart of pondicherry . If one wants to know about the rich history of pondicherry then this is one of the best ways to explore . Venkat Anna has got in-depth knowledge on this . Whether it's the main cathedral or notre dame , or the French quarters , indian quarters or muslim ones , anna takes you on a journey in time to know the depths of our ancient history in modern relevance. Also , don't forget to visit the peaceful Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the famous kappi house for some good coffee vibes. Overall , a great tour in 2 hours time .”

“I’ve been living in Pondicherry for a few months and had already walked past many of the streets and buildings included in this heritage bicycle tour. What surprised me was how much I hadn’t really seen until Venkat explained the stories behind them. The tour was beautifully paced and covered the history of White Town, the French and Tamil architectural influences, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Notre Dame des Anges, and several stunning hidden courtyards that I would never have noticed on my own. Venkat’s strength is not just his knowledge of dates and buildings, but his ability to connect history, culture, and everyday life in Pondicherry. By the end of the two-hour ride, the city felt less like a tourist destination and more like a living community with layers of history beneath its colourful facades. Easily one of the most memorable guided tours I’ve taken, and I would highly recommend it to both first-time visitors and people who think they already know Pondicherry.”

“We had a wonderful kayaking experience in the beautiful mangroves of Pondicherry with our instructor, Bala. He was very kind and friendly, and made us feel comfortable right from the beginning. Before we started, he gave us clear instructions for about 10–15 minutes, which helped us a lot during the activity. The kayaking itself was peaceful and enjoyable. Throughout the kayaking session, Bala guided us really well, took us to the best spots, and even shared interesting facts about Pondicherry’s nature and history. He also clicked many photos and videos of us, which made the experience even more memorable! We were two females, and at no point did we feel unsafe—Bala made sure we felt secure, respected, and relaxed. He also gave us honest suggestions on where to go next and how to plan the rest of our day in Pondicherry. Overall, it was a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Pondicherry!”

“I found about this through Google search. I was initially sceptical, as the water was looking a little dirty, just like we have in Mumbai, but we went ahead nevertheless, as we had never done kayaking before. Sharon explained everything perfectly, and he helped us make this an extremely memorable experience. He also suggested us things to do and eat in Pondicherry, as we were new here. Overall, this place is much better than Goa, definitely something to consider. Lady luck blessed us as well, as there wasn't much rush before diwali. Something you should tick off on your bucket list.”

He was super nice, introduced me to his wife and parents, showed me how to cook two different dishes and had already prepared so many more! It was super delicious and I felt welcome the whole time. Can highly recommend the cooking class with Dhinesh!”

How much do tours in Pondicherry cost?

Most guided experiences cost ₹700 to ₹2,500 per person, depending on the activity and group size. Larger groups pay less per person. Day excursions add a separate taxi supplement. Every package page lists its price tiers.
